Class of 2012!

It is so hard to believe Andrew is so grown-up! Andrew graduated from West Jordan High today! (So wired to think that I graduated exactly 10 years ago to the day!) We are sure proud of this kid and the hard work he's put in this year to be able to graduate.

Andrew loves being an uncle and often stops by just to see Sam. However, trying to get a picture of these two together is so hard!

"I'm not sure what to do with my hands right now."

Andrew is being such a great example to Sam :) And if we stay where we are, Sam will graduate from the same High School as Andrew :)

Some of my favorite things about Andrew:

He loves his family. He has always been a family man and is super loyal.
Andrew has one of the biggest hearts of anybody I know. He will do anything for anyone and isn't afraid to help a stranger in need.
He's hardworking when he needs to be. (He is 18!)
His smile! Andrew has the greatest smile in the world...he arrived in this world smiling and hasn't stopped! And boy does his smile melt hearts!

Congrats Andrew!!!! We are so proud of you and love you so much!!!! :)

Carrying Baby #2

I can't believe I'm 12 weeks already! But than again, I didn't know I was pregnant till I was 9 weeks! The difference in knowing right away and at 9 weeks! So far, I've felt pretty much the same way that I did when I was pregnant with Sam. I have been a little sicker and can't handle raw meat, so Aaron's been cooking a lot of the food! I've been more tired than last time too, but I think that's because I have Sam to take care of and I can't just nap whenever I need it. Sam seems pretty excited, we ask him all the time if he's getting a brother or a sister and he smiles really big and laughs. With Sam, we both really felt it was a boy from the moment we knew we were pregnant, but this time we have no idea. I've been dreaming of a boy, but feel it's a girl most days. I've also noticed I'm carrying a little higher than with Sam, and they say you carry girls higher than boys. It's probably too soon to tell how high I'm carrying though.

And now, here's some super cute pictures of Sam sleeping. Note the blanket...that's the only way he will sleep with one. (Or on his face!)

5 Months Old

Our little boy is growing so fast! He is getting so big! He is a pro-roller now! Well, from back to tummy, he has a hard time with going from his tummy to his back. He did it a couple of times yesterday, but by accident and it startled him every time! (It was kind of funny) He thinks that now he can roll, he should be able to crawl and gets so mad that he can't get anywhere. He's been working on sitting by himself, but usually ends up just hunched over in a ball laughing. He loves standing!

He is happy all the time...all smiles at home. When we are out and about, he doesn't smile a lot, he's a people watcher and so nosy! He is a thinker, you can actually see him learning and thinking!

This is a new face he's been making...not sure where he picked it up, but makes me laugh every time!

Sam eats like crazy, but doesn't want anything to do with cereal still. I though we were having success one day, but when I went to clean his face, he spit it all out. He had been storing it in his checks, and since they are so chubby, I hadn't noticed. He spit it all out and laughed and laughed! Next month I'm trying baby food even if he's not eating cereal.

He is so funny and his personality is growing all the time. I think he is going to have Aaron's sense of humor, but my stubbornness and independence. (I'm in trouble!) Sam loves being outside. We take him for walks, or sit on the front step if he's being cranky, it calms him right down. He sure loves his Mom and Dad! And we couldn't love him more. He won't tell us if he's having a brother or sister, he just smiles and laughs at us when we ask!

It's A Great Time to Be A Sperry

It's already been a bust year for the Sperry family, and it's only May! Between babies ;), mission homecoming, engagements, wedding and graduations. Also this year there will be a baptism.

First, Stieven, Vance's oldest and only son, came home from his mission, got engaged and was married!

Stieven and Cecilia, February 24

Vance's kids
Next, J'neen (Vances' oldest) and Mauro, were engaged and married!

J'neen and Mauro, April 27

All of the kids again, oldest to youngest
We weren't able to go to Stieven's wedding, it was back east. But we were able to go to J'neen's, it was here in Utah.

Also, Jereme (Rod and Lyndee's oldest) asked his girlfriend, Hannah to marry him. They will be married this year, last summer/fall?

Among all of the weddings, we also have a graduate this year. Nicholas, (Nathan and Melissa's) is graduating from Copper Hills High School this year!

And Kyler, (Quinn and Julianne's oldest) is turning 8 and will be baptized!

I'm sure there is still so much to come! It's definitely an exciting time to be a Sperry!

I guess I should explain the family. Ron and Kaye have 6 boys. Vance, Rod (Lyndee), Nathan (Melissa), Trent (Wendy), Aaron (ME!) and Quinn (Julianne).

My First Mother's Day

What a great day! For the first time in 7 years, I was able to enjoy Mother's Day. Sam makes everything so much better and I am so blessed to be his Mother! For Mother's Day, Aaron got me a mold of Sam's hand! I love it!!! Sam's hands have meant a lot to me, since he grab my hand the minute I held him. Now I get to hold my baby's hand forever! I can't believe the detail! My sister in laws, Mom did it for us. (It was actually Julianne's idea...THANKS!)

We were also finally able to tell our families our great news! Baby #2 is on the way already! Due December 11th!! No help needed this time. The next couple of pictures were not taken on Mother's Day. They were about 2 weeks ago when I told Aaron!

Aaron had gone on an overnight camp out with my Dad and brothers, so Sam and I decorated the house...mostly me! :)

We have good news!

Think Positively!

The 3 of us missed you!

Sam's a big brother

The streamers led to the big sign and the test! Aaron didn't even read the signs, he went right to the end, he was so excited!!!

This is how we told our families, so I didn't get pictures of us in the shirts. I made Sam a shirt, and another shirt for me. Not everyone got it right away, but everyone was excited for us!

We feel so blessed that we were able to get pregnant so fast again and on our own this time! I had a great Mother's Day actually being a Mom, and was able to be surrounded by all the Mom's in my life! Especially, my Mom and Kaye, my Mother-In-Law!

P.S. We will not be having a tradition of announcing we are pregnant every Mother's Day, it's just worked out the last 2 years that way! ;)

How I have changed

Since having Sam my life has changed, I have changed. Some are just like all other Mom's. Picking someone else's nose, being excited for poop, and loving someone else so much you feel your heart may just pop out of your chest. But I have made a lot of personal changes as well. The biggest being my depression. The longer it took to get pregnant, the deeper my depression would get. Once Sam was placed in my arms, it was instantly gone! 7 years of pain and depression completely disappeared. During those 7 years, I also lost my mojo with kids. I have always loved kids and they have always been drawn to me, but that had left. Kids made me upset and they sensed it. I totally have it back! I watch two little girls once and a while and they don't like leaving! :) It makes me so happy! I love kids, all of them! (Mine the most, but that didn't need to be said!)
Now, probably the most noticeable change is my OCD. For those of you who really know me, know that I am extremely OCD and organized. I use to only have people over if my house was spotless (even family). Because I was so sick after Sam was born and need help, I had to quickly get over that. I'm now ok if someone comes over and my counter is cluttered. My OCD has gotten much better, not gone though. My movies are still in alphabetical order, but I know I'll need to get over that when Sam gets bigger and he can get into them.
Everyday brings a new adventure and Aaron and I are loving every minute!

And I can't have a post without a picture!

In his first camo outfit! :) All ready to go hunting with Daddy! :)
