Sperry Time

I don't seem to talk about the Sperry's very often...sadly, we end up doing more with my family. But, Aaron does have a great family and we do love them!

On Sunday, August 22, our nephew Jereme was ordained an Elder. He is now headed to Utah State for school. Congratulations Jereme! He was also awarded his Eagle on Sunday!

Getting everything ready for a yummy lunch! :) Aaron helped with the BBQ!

And some pictures of the some of the nephews. I could have sworn that I took more pictures of all the kids, but I guess not.

We had a great time! And we just want to congratulate Jereme again!

Family Campout 2010

This year out camp out was August 12-15. We went to Current Creek and had a much more enjoyable time! :) It was such a relaxing trip and I think it was much needed by all! :)

There was lots of building, relaxing and playing with the fire!

There was lots of time to enjoy our favorite activities! (My craft will be posted on my craft blog soon and I forgot to take pictures of all the games we played!)

Of course, what camping trip would be complete with out lots and lots of yummy food! :)

All the boys in the family have a machete, but it was Mom and I who enjoyed them the most! We loved going and getting branches for the fire. Also, Mom tipped her first tree this year and liked LOVED it!

And like every year, the little pups come with us! This year, Aaron and I bought a small gate/kennel for them to stay in so we weren't tripping over their leashes. (And I don't like them being tied up) It was a great purchase!

We had a great camp-out and can't wait for next years! I am planning some surprises for the family already! ;)

The 24th of July

We had such a fun 24th of July! But it really started on the 23rd. I invited all the cousins to sleep over. We set up a tent outside and played all sorts of games! Apples to Apples, Capture the Flag, Uno Attack, Mafia, and more! Everyone brought their favorite sweet to share, so we were all pretty wired! Then on the 24th, we played more games waiting for everyone else to come for a BBQ. We played Nertz, and Mow. (Two family favorites!) There was a lot of yummy food and great memories! I honestly have the best family!

Jackie and Robyn did a lot to help Grandma and Me get ready for the BBQ!

Our master chef, Steve!
Time to eat! :)
And of course my hunny!!!! :)

In other news, we are doing well. We have finished moving into Grandma's, but still have a lot to unpack and such. Grandpa is doing really well being home. He loves having us around and is loving the dogs. They keep me really busy, but it feels good to serve.

Aaron and I started the HCG diet on Monday (the 26th). So far so good. We are starving, but it will only be for 3 weeks. I have lost 4lbs. and Aaron has lost over 10lbs!

I hope to start blogging again more often, and start crafting soon!

Grandpa Charlie Brown

I have been very blessed in my life. I am 26 years old, and still have all 4 grandparents. I have always been close to them. (Even though we haven't always lived close.) I love my family and grateful to have such wonderful, loving grandparents. Both sets have been married over 50 years and have taught me great lessons for my own marriage.

My Grandpa Brown has been sick for a while now. Last week we had to take him to the hospital and we are going to have to find somewhere for him to live. And as hard as it has been for me...a spoiled granddaughter, I can't even being to imagine how my Grandma feels. Her whole life has been about taking care of her family. Her husband and 4 kids. Now she is alone. I go over everyday and make sure she is ok, but most of the time she is wanting to take care of me.  She is a much stronger woman that I thought she was. I see her everyday talk to my Grandpa, and even when we can't understand him, she is clam and loving with him.

I am so proud of my family for coming together and helping one another. I love everyone so much. What's meant to be will be, we just all need to remember that we are family and we will all be together forever.

Me and Grandpa at my 25th birthday! I love that smile!
