Day 30 - Something you could never get tired of doing

I'm starting to think I shouldn't have done this till after the baby's here. Between being super pregnant brained, sick, tired, and having a super short attention span I find answering most of these hard. I can't pick just one thing and for today's I can't think of something because of my short attention span. Nothing holds my attention at all! 

But, before I was pregnant, and I am sure after, something I could never get tired of is crafting! I think maybe because there are so many different things I can do, or because it is something that I get to create and becomes apart of me. Some of my favorites are painting, scrapbooking, making cards and making holiday decorations. 

Here are some of my favorites! 

New Talent?

Last Wednesday I took an oil painting class with Mom, Tricia and Bryant. We has so much fun! This week Aaron and Dad thought they'd give it a try too!

Here's what we have so far :)

 This is mine....now it doesn't look like much because when I went this week, the teacher forgot my book so I had to pick another one. At first I was really upset. But when I started working on a new picture it all started coming together!

This is Aaron's. He wasn't sure if he wanted to go. He worked a very long day and just wanted to come home and relax. But very quickly realized that painting was a great way to relax and he really enjoyed it! And I think it's turning out great!

Next week, I'll take pictures of the rest of the families! I think my family may have a hidden talent to oil paint! Now we just need Elisha and Andrew to start coming and see what they can do. :)

I DID IT!!!

The time has come friends for me to create me own craft blog! Even though you all voted and said 'no', I had too. I visit many craft blogs and decided to join their world of sharing crafts. So check it out!

Catch-up and Crafts

Since my last posted we haven't been up to a whole lot. New Years we usually just stay home and spending evening together. This year we stopped by mom's to visit with my uncle Steve and cousins John and Jen and their wonderful family. We wish John and Jen lived closer so we can see them more. Jen made us this awesome sign! I just love it! I put it in the kitchen above the window....it matches the sunflowers perfectly! Thanks Jen!!!!

Aaron's brother, Nathan invited us over to play games with him and his family. His wife Melissa and their two boy, Nicholas and Joshua. We had a lot of fun and can't wait to hang out with them again.

We didn't have much money for Christmas this year, so I got crafty and thought of these letters all my self! :) I made the "BROWN" first, one for mom and one for my sister-in-law Elisha. Mom liked her so much she had me make one for our friends the Everett's!

I made this nativity for my mother-in-law. I was going to make her a "SPERRY" name like above, but the "P" doesn't stand! I figure it out though, because I want one! :)

Not much else has happened, I am another year older. I am now 26 and now in my "LATE TWENTIES!!!!" AHHHHH!!!! Where does the time go!?!?! For my birthday we got a Wii and Wii fit, I love it! (We also got Super Mario Brothers!) :)

Conference Crafts

I love Conference weekend! Not only for the Spiritual talks and guidance, but because I can craft all day for 2 days! This year, I decided to finish a lot of stuff that I had left unfinished, and I got a lot done!

Some Halloween pumpkins! I have had these for a few years, unpainted...so I painted them and cut out some faces and glued them on! I love the way they turned out...nothing fancy.

Mom bought Tricia this mirror about 2 years ago and asked me to paint it to match her room...which is pink and yellow. Well, I finally got around to it, but I didn't just paint it, I deco-podged it, with pink and yellow papers, and or course some cat paper. She loved it!

This Witch project was started a year ago at a Relief Society night. (It was a bad night, and wasn't allowed to finish my project) So I put it away hoping one day to finish it...I did! I am not sure if this is what it was suppose to look like, but I still think it is cute!

I love buying letters and making up my own stuff. Mom and I were at Roberts back in July and saw some done USA letters, $60 a letter!!!! (My living room is Americana) So I went and found these, unfinished letters ($5 a letter and they were on sale!) and painted them myself. I am not 100% satisfied with the way they turned out...so I put them away for a few days and I will see if I like them, or if I need to fix them! :)

When I was very young...between the ages or 3 to 7....my parents bought me this wooden shelf. Until last weekend, it was just plain wood. My bathroom is light and dark blue with the sun, moon and stars theme. So I painted it dark blue, and stamped it with sun, moon and stars. Then I took a brush and dabbed it with yellow. I love the way it turned out!

And the last one...some more letters I bought. I painted them purple, and deco-podged them with Halloween paper! (This one seems to be Aaron's favorite!)

I love crafting! Hope I gave you some ideas to start your own craft projects!

Projects

I have been very busy staying home. I have been reorganizing the kitchen...in doing so, I had a lot of plain vases and no room to store them. I went and bought some vines and sunflowers and decorated the kitchen with the 3...here's how it turned out!

Also, I had these end tables mom bought me a LONG time ago. They were just plain white. I sponged painted them green in high school for my bedroom. They are no longer needed in the bedroom, so I re-painted them to match the living room. They turned out great! I love them, and LOVE painting!

I found these cute star lamps for $5 each and had to get them for the tables...they came the day I finished the tables! Perfect timing! (If you can't tell, I have an Americana living room!)
