Jam'n with Mom!

Well, actually we made Jelly, but Jellin' with Mom sounded funny! I guess I could have titled it, Are You "Jell'n? Cause We Are!
Saturday, Mom, Tricia and I made crabapple Jelly! It is so yummy! Who would have thought that these sour little "apples" would make such a good jelly!? My Grandma Brown has been making this jelly for as long as I can remember and I thought I would give is a try this year. (With Mom's help, I had no idea where to even start!)
*Warning Picture over-load! I didn't want to miss anything!*

It took us all day, but when we were finished we had about 33 jars of jelly! It felt so good to make something by hand! I think things taste better when you have put a lot of work into it. :)

I definitely agree--everything tastes better when it is homemade with love :) Looks like a fun way to spend an afternoon!

Done for another year! We'll have to find more apples next year.

Yum! Save some for me! I make Grandma Stringham's strawberry jam every year and together with Aunt Sylvia's rolls...it makes for a great treat!
